1. Install your agent engine

Run the command for your operating system as your normal user. Setup guides you through your model provider. Your keys and conversations stay on this computer.

After installation, open a new terminal so the installed command is available.

Setup installs the engine runtime and opens your first-run configuration.

2. Choose your workspace

Published installers below belong to the same Minerva 0.25.3 release. A pending build has no download button.

Your local dashboard runs on the computer where the engine is installed.

One release. A clear update result.

Finish active conversations, then update Minerva once. It updates the engine, bundled dashboard and TUI, and detected installed desktop and editor packages. If a component needs permission, has no native package, or still runs an older version, it stays visibly pending.

VS Code can receive its extension update while closed when its command-line tool is available. Reload an open editor or restart the desktop to activate a new installed package. Each interface checks again when reopened.

On Windows, if an older extension cannot update, close your Minerva desktop and editor windows, run minerva update in PowerShell, then reopen them. You can also install the latest VSIX above manually.
