Questions
What is Bittensor MCP?
A research service your agent connects to over the Model Context Protocol. It reads the chain, subnet GitHub repositories, the Bittensor Discord history, Hugging Face models and compute prices, keeps the evidence, and lets your agent build cases across them.
Do I need the Minerva app?
No. Minerva connects in one step with minerva account connect-mcp. Any MCP client that supports HTTP servers with a bearer token works too: create a token at /account/mcp and use the server URL shown there.
Is my research private?
Yes. Every account gets its own isolated research worker and state. Tokens are stored only as keyed hashes and can be revoked at any time.
Is there a paid plan?
No. Payments are not enabled and nothing is charged. The Free plan has no request limits and no expiry.
What if the Free plan is unavailable?
Each account reserves its own isolated worker. If every worker is in use, your account page offers Request access and a manager follows up.
